Villa Soleil Location on St. Croix is Unbeatable

Villa Soleil has the perfect St. Croix island location. Perched just above Salt River Bay National Historic Park and Ecological Preserve, where Columbus made his famous landing in the New World, you will feel as if you are on top of the world. Yet, a ten minute walk will put you at the waters edge and you are only a fifteen minute drive on all paved roads from capital city Christiansted, the center of island life. Villa Soleil's central island location and easy accessibility means you will spend your vacation "doing" instead of "driving".

You can see by the photo below how close we are to the National Park and Eco-Preserve, and Christiansted is just down the coast to the right.

Our guests are surrounded by the ocean on three sides, and Villa Soleil is one of the few vacation rentals on St. Croix to have views over the entire Park. This proximity to nature, with nothing between us and the Park, means wildlife sightings are commonplace at the Villa. Bird watching from the deck is a delight - it is not unusual to view endangered Brown Pelicans, Frigate birds, Bananaquits, Kingbirds, Egrets, Herons, and Doves all in one day! Guests have seen deer in the driveway, gecko's abound, and even hermit crabs have been known to take up residence in our rock wall.

But part of what makes Villa Soleil's island location so special is not just our proximity to the Park, it's our proximity to everything else you may want to do on St. Croix. Much as Villa Soleil's privacy has led many a guest to wonder why they would ever leave, you do have to at least get some groceries once in awhile. It may seem silly to say we are a short drive from C'sted on "all paved roads" unless you have climbed some of the islands steep, washed-out dirt backroads that some homes call a driveway!
